Dear Virginia,

That you question what
is to become
of the Great Experiment-- wonder
if they were to fix
their eyes upon the furnace,
skim off the dross-- if,
hearts smiling,
limbs entwined,
they would glow, luminous,
like radium that doesn't burn

is but natural.
